Bring your vision to life by commissioning a custom project. 

When is this right for you?  If you have a particular design in mind or you've seen a product that you like, but:

• there is something you want to change to make it perfect for you (e.g. dimensions, type of wood, finish or design features)
• the item is no longer available or has never been manufactured (e.g. a side board to complement an existing dining table)
• the product you like is not available in Australia or the cost of freight is ridiculous,

then a custom project may be the solution for you.

How does it work?  I work in collaboration with you - we will discuss your requirements, any photos or other inspiration ideas you have, and preferred materials.  I'll then come back to you with a tailored, obligation free, quote for the project.   For larger projects, you're welcome to arrange inspection of progress (or I can send you photos along the way), and I will invite you to inspect the project prior to completion to ensure you are satisfied.

How much does it cost?  A commissioned piece is better value than you'd expect.  The pricing variables are the choice of hardwood, amount of timber required and complexity.  Compared to designer furniture stores, you can save 30- 50%.   I'll provide you with a fixed quote so you can decide whether this is the right approach for you.

How long does it take? Obviously that will depend on the size and complexity of the project.  I will give you an indication of expected time in a quote and keep you informed of progress during the project.  Sometimes sourcing the right timber can cause delays but as I only accept one project at a time you can be confident that your project has my complete attention in the workshop.
